Nominations for Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards Now Being Accepted
The Maine Commission for Community Service and the Governor’s Office are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2009 Governor’s Service Awards are now being accepted through February 16, 2009. Official nomination forms and submission criteria are available at www.VolunteerMaine.org. Winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the State Capitol on April 21, 2009.

Heating Fuel Prices Tracked
October marks the start of the 2008-09 heating season during which the Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security conducts a weekly survey of fuel oil, propane, and kerosene prices across Maine. Current and past prices are available on line.
